BACKFLOW PREVENTION ASSEMBLY TESTING:
Ground FX Lawn & Landscape is now an ASSE Certified Backflow Prevention Tester in accordance with Minnesota State Statutes & Plumbing Code.
Minnesota State Statutes & Plumbing Code requires that all testable backflow devices be tested upon installation and at least annually thereafter by a certified backflow assembly tester. Any homeowner with an irrigation system must have a testable backflow device, typically a Pressure Vacuum Breaker Assembly or a Reduced Pressure Assembly.
Schedule us to test your backflow prevention device and we will tag the device and submit all records of testing and maintenance to the local administrative authority and public water supplier within 30 days of testing. If the device fails, we will schedule a rebuild or replacement of the device for you.
IRRIGATION START UP
Spring start up includes reconnecting of any irrigation equipment removed during winterization. Charging the systems main line and inspecting for leaks. Test of each zone to verify valves and heads are working properly and inspect for leaks. Programming of controller based on current and forecasted weather predictions. Standard repairs will be completed with start up. Major issues and/or improvements will be communicated with property owner/manager. Billed per zone / per system or total quote basis.

IRRIGATION INSPECTIONS
We suggest having your irrigation system inspected throughout the season. Irrigation parts wear out and fail over time causing damage to turf/plantings, waste of water, and costs associated with water loss. Frequent inspections will catch these parts before they fail. An inspection will include: Test of each zone to verify valves and heads are working properly and inspect for leaks. Test of wires, solenoids, and decoders. Programming of controller based on current and forecasted weather predictions. Standard repairs will be completed with the inspection. Major issues and/or improvements will be communicated with property owner/manager. Billed per zone/per system or total quote basis.
We offer 3 inspection schedules to choose from to fit your needs.
-
Monthly – A technician will inspect the system once around every 30 days while system is active.
-
Bi-Monthly – A technician will inspect the system once around every 60 days while system is active.
-
Mid Season – A technician will inspect the system once in the middle of the irrigation season.
IRRIGATION WINTERIZATION/BLOWOUT
Winterization includes evacuation of all water from main line and all zones with compressed air. Removal and storage of necessary equipment such as an rpz or pumps. All water valves and city curb stops will be left shut off and marked for winter.
